The Z-Tactical COM 2 Headset are tactical earmuffs with active noise suppression and environmental amplification, designed for shooters, hunters and professional operators who need to protect their hearing without losing awareness of their surroundings. The connector is military standard, compatible with Z-Tactical PTT devices.

The active suppression system cuts sharp sound peaks — gunshots, nearby blasts — before they reach the ear canal, while low-level sounds such as movement in the environment are amplified to maintain situational awareness. This trade-off is central to tactical and hunting use: you get protection from acoustic impulse without being isolated from your surroundings the way traditional passive earmuffs would isolate you, though passive attenuation falls to the level of standard earmuffs when the electronics are off or the batteries are dead.

The microphone is removable and allows radio communication; incoming audio is distributed across both cups, so radio speech does not draw attention away from either side. Volume is adjusted via side buttons designed to be operated with gloves on. The headband is fully adjustable. Power requires 2 AA batteries, not included.
