Wosport

The Wosport side expansion panel is a modular extension designed for the MK4 chest rig and similar configurations, aimed at those who want to increase carry capacity without giving up the compact profile of their loadout. Weighing 183 g, the panel adds volume and attachment surface to the sides of the chest rig without meaningfully increasing total kit weight.

The interior of the panel features a generously sized pocket dimensioned to hold a handheld radio such as the PRC-152: keeping the radio at the side rather than in a separate pouch frees up the front of the rig for magazines and reduces overall bulk. The outer surface is covered in MOLLE/PALS webbing, allowing additional pouches, medical kit or accessories to be attached directly to the flanks — bringing modular attachment to the lateral areas where traditional chest rigs offer none.

Attachment is via velcro on the back of the chest rig, supplemented by routing the harness straps or flat pack through the side buckles of the expansion panel. This system distributes the load across the panel itself, stiffening the overall structure around the torso. The trade-off to consider: velcro allows fast attachment and removal and makes the panel compatible with multiple systems, but it does not offer the same retention as direct MOLLE-on-MOLLE attachment — anyone expecting significant stress during movement should check that the velcro on their rig is in good condition to maintain secure hold.
