The foam gasket running around the perimeter of the frame creates a continuous barrier against dust, debris, and airborne particles, and is compatible with direct head wear as well as most helmets on the market.

The ANSI Z80.3 certification confirms impact resistance up to 3 joules at 5 metres, equivalent to approximately 170 m/s with 0.20-gram projectiles. This is not ballistic protection against live fire: the standard covers high-velocity impacts from small-calibre plastic projectiles or light fragments, making these goggles suitable for dynamic shooting, training, and tactical range use where splinters and debris are the primary hazard.

The three lenses address different operating conditions: the clear lens is suited to indoor use, tunnels, or low-light situations where any reduction in light transmission would hurt perception; the smoke lens filters direct solar radiation and is the natural choice for outdoor use in full daylight; the yellow lens boosts contrast under overcast skies, at dawn, or at dusk, making edges sharper when flat light tends to wash out the visual field. One trade-off to keep in mind: the wraparound frame provides better perimeter sealing than open-lens eyewear, but slightly increases fogging — the absorbent foam helps, though it does not eliminate the issue entirely in intense heat.
