Water-Repellent Spray SIGA Aquastop 300 ml

Aquastop by SIGA is a waterproofing spray based on FC fluorocarbon technology that restores and enhances the water-repellent effect on footwear, technical garments, alpine equipment and accessories made from smooth leather, suede, synthetic fabric and membrane materials. The 300 ml format is sized for repeated treatments on multiple items or for keeping a stock in reserve.

The formula creates a thin film on the material's surface that causes water droplets to bead off without penetrating the structure. Unlike treatments that clog pores, the FC film does not reduce breathability: Gore-Tex, Sympatex and similar membranes continue to evacuate water vapour to the outside, maintaining thermal comfort even during aerobically demanding activities. This balance between water protection and retained breathability is the core of the product: it acts on the surface, not on the membrane.

The protective layer also hinders the penetration of dust and dirt into the material's structure, slowing the degradation of the garment's original water-repellent performance. For maximum effect, SIGA recommends applying the product several times in successive layers and treating every new shoe or garment before first use: preventive treatment is more effective than corrective treatment once the material has absorbed moisture.
