VictOptics SVD Dragunov 4x24 FFP Riflescope — Black

The VictOptics SVD Dragunov 4x24 FFP is a fixed-magnification riflescope with a first focal plane, designed specifically for the SVD Dragunov, AK-74 and related platforms such as the AS VAL and VSS Vintorez. With a 24 mm objective and a fixed magnification of 4x, it covers the typical operational distances of these rifles without the mechanical complexity of a zoom system. The integrated dovetail side mount attaches directly to the side rail of the supported platforms, eliminating the need for additional adapters.

The first focal plane (FFP) means that the etched SVD reticle maintains its correct metric scale at any distance: the milliradian subdivisions remain readable and measurable without any correction calculations. The click value is 0.5 MIL on both axes, with a maximum adjustment range of 18 MIL on both windage and elevation. The red illumination with 2 brightness levels highlights the reticle in low-light conditions without compromising night adaptation; it is powered by a single CR2032 battery, not included.

The 6 mm exit pupil provides good residual brightness at dusk, while the 80 mm eye relief keeps the ocular lens far enough from the brow even with the fixed stocks typical of SVD platforms. The field of view at 91 m is approximately 6.1 m, appropriate for a fixed magnification in tactical and hunting use at medium-to-close ranges. As a fixed-power optic, it does not offer the flexibility of an LPVO at very short or very long distances: the design choice prioritises mechanical simplicity, durability and fast target acquisition within a defined distance band. The die-cast aluminium body is nitrogen-purged to prevent internal fogging and carries an IPX4 water resistance rating, with a declared recoil resistance of up to 500 G. Weight is 521 g without lens caps, with an overall length of 270 mm.

Key features

• The first focal plane keeps the SVD reticle scale correct at any distance: no correction calculations at ranges other than the zero distance.
• The integrated dovetail side mount is compatible with the side rails of the SVD, AK-74, AS VAL and VSS Vintorez, with no adapters required.
• The glass-etched reticle is permanent: the 2-level red illumination improves visibility in low light without replacing it, so it remains readable even with a flat battery.
• The nitrogen-purged body prevents internal fogging under thermal shock and high humidity.
• The 6 mm exit pupil and 80 mm eye relief work well with the shooting positions associated with fixed-stock platforms.
• Fixed 4x magnification: more reliable and lighter than an equivalent zoom, but commits the shooter to a defined operational range band.
