The retention mechanism draws from the GLS system: a lever positioned at the trigger guard actively locks the pistol in the holster and releases with a thumb press during the draw, with no additional buttons or external springs involved. This means the firearm stays put during running or tactical movement, while the draw stroke remains a single, intuitive motion after a short break-in period. The trade-off inherent to any active-retention holster applies here as well: the draw requires learned coordination and only becomes automatic through repetition; in return, you get passive security that an open-top holster simply cannot provide.
