SATAC Tactical Chest Rig — Woodland

The SATAC Tactical is a lightweight chest rig made from CORUND™ 500D fabric, designed for those looking for a compact load-bearing system that can be worn without a plate carrier. With an unloaded weight of 425 g, it offers a streamlined alternative to a tactical vest in situations where reducing weight takes priority over ballistic protection. There is no provision for armour plates or a quick-release system.

MOLLE compatibility is partial: the shoulder straps accept MOLLE attachments, but the front panel is not a full MOLLE surface. This means the rig can be set up quickly, but expansion options with additional pouches are more limited than on a chest rig with a full MOLLE bib. Those who already have a fixed loadout and do not anticipate frequent changes will appreciate the simplicity; those wanting maximum modularity should consider options with a full MOLLE panel.

The fit is adjustable to suit different body types without needing replacement panels. The absence of a quick-release system is worth bearing in mind in scenarios where rapid removal of the rig matters: it is put on and taken off using standard fasteners, which keeps the construction straightforward but reduces responsiveness in an emergency.

Key features

• Unloaded weight of 425 g: comfortable to wear for extended periods without fatiguing the torso, even on long outings.
• CORUND™ 500D fabric: greater abrasion resistance than standard nylon, suited to heavy use in outdoor and operational environments.
• Adjustable sizing: fits different body types without purchasing separate size variants.
• No ballistic insert: configuration focused on low weight, not protection against fragments or projectiles.
• MOLLE compatibility on the shoulder straps: allows side pouches or accessories to be added to the straps while keeping the front profile clean.
• No quick-release system: simpler, more straightforward construction — assess suitability based on intended use.
