The double-material construction – 100% cotton flannel on the outside and 100% polyester Sherpa on the inside – combines the abrasion resistance of flannel with the heat retention of a fleece lining. This trade-off favours long-term durability over fully synthetic alternatives, though flannel is not water-repellent: in prolonged rain it absorbs moisture and loses its insulating capacity. It is intended for dry cold or as a mid-layer beneath a windshell.

The two chest pockets with button-flap closure provide secure access to contents even during sharp movements, without adding lateral bulk that could interfere with a harness or weapon handling. The front button closure allows quick ventilation adjustment as activity intensity changes.
