Rothco Jumbo Bandana — Orange

The Rothco Jumbo is a pure cotton bandana with a 68 cm side: a considerably larger size than the standard cut, which lets you use it as a head covering, sun protection, neck scarf, emergency filter or identification signal in the field. The orange colour makes it immediately visible and useful for hunting and outdoor activities where being recognisable is a safety priority.

The 100% cotton does not breathe as well as synthetic technical fabrics, but it absorbs sweat efficiently and remains comfortable against the skin during prolonged use. Unlike water-repellent materials, it does not shed water: it gets wet and air-dries. In hot, sunny conditions this is an advantage, as the damp fabric lowers the perceived temperature; in cold and wet climates it should be treated as a non-insulating layer.

The 68x68 cm format allows more versatile folding than the conventional 55 cm cut: the resulting triangle covers the head completely with enough tail to tie a secure knot, or it can be used as an improvised triangular bandage when no medical kit is available. Care is straightforward: hand wash or machine wash on a gentle cycle.
