The TRU Zip zipper, patented by Nite Ize, is the technical feature that sets this product apart from conventional organisers. Rather than relying on an external double layer or a pressure-seal system, the zipper seals directly along the slider, delivering waterproof and dustproof closure without requiring extra effort to shut. The action stays smooth even after repeated use, thanks to the TRU Zip lubricating wipes included in the box, which are water-based so they won't stain fabrics. The trade-off to consider: the same zipper that provides the seal requires a deliberate open and close motion — it is not a single-gesture quick-access system, but in return it offers a level of sealing that hook-and-loop or bellows-style closures cannot match.

The TPU construction with high-frequency welded seams eliminates traditional stitched joints, which on waterproof materials are often the first point of failure.
