Leatherman MUT Multi-Tool — Black

The Leatherman MUT is a multi-tool designed specifically for shooters, gunsmiths, and anyone who works with firearms on a daily basis. With a closed length of 127 mm and a weight of 317 g, it combines in a single body the tools that would normally fill an entire kit bag: a cleaning rod adapter and brush attachment, a bolt override tool, a carbon scraper, and a removable punch for disassembly.

The 420HC steel combo blade — 76 mm long with a hardness of 55–59 HRC — features both a plain edge and a serrated section, and is paired with military-grade needle-nose pliers with replaceable 154CM wire cutters for soft wire and separately interchangeable hard wire cutters: when the cutting edges wear out, only that component needs replacing, not the whole tool. The Black Oxide finish on the blade and tools eliminates glare and slows corrosion without adding bulk.

All tools are accessible from the closed position without opening the handles, and most can be operated one-handed — a practical advantage in the field or at the cleaning bench. The cleaning rod adapter (male and female thread) makes the MUT compatible with standard modular cleaning rods available on the market. The bit holder integrated into the handle and the included Phillips bit cover the most common fasteners found on firearms; the removable clip allows the tool to be attached to a belt or pocket depending on the situation.
