Kryptek Vellus Glove — Kryptek Obskura Skyfall

The Vellus Glove are Kryptek tactical winter gloves designed for those who operate outdoors in cold and windy conditions – from high-altitude hunting to duty in mountain environments. The core of the system is a 200 g windproof fleece layer paired with a 100 g Primaloft Silver insulation, which retains its thermal performance even in the presence of moisture.

The combination of windproof fleece and Primaloft Silver resolves a typical compromise found in winter gloves: fleece breathes better than a waterproof membrane and allows finer finger movement, but does not exclude water. Primaloft Silver, unlike down, retains most of its insulation even when wet, making the glove more tolerant of variable conditions than a down-filled alternative. Those who need to maintain trigger or safety-lever sensitivity will appreciate this choice; anyone expecting prolonged immersion in standing water should consider a waterproof solution instead.

The palm is reinforced to increase abrasion resistance in the grip zones, where contact with stocks, barrels, reins or handles wears the material first. Full gussets along the fingers ensure a full range of motion without the fabric pulling when closing a fist or gripping a handle. The Kryptek Obskura pattern covers the entire outer surface of the glove.

Key features

• The 200 g windproof fleece blocks wind without sacrificing breathability, reducing perspiration during dynamic activities.
• The 100 g Primaloft Silver insulation retains its warmth even when damp, unlike natural down fillings.
• The reinforced palm extends the glove's service life in the grip zones, where wear concentrates first.
• Full gussets along the fingers eliminate fabric tension that would restrict fist closure while wearing the glove.
• Available in sizes S, M, L, XL: standard glove sizing applies in the absence of a manufacturer's size chart.
