The Range Beanie Cap is a technical fleece beanie from Helikon-Tex's Range series, designed for shooters and hunters operating in cold conditions. Available in two sizes — M (head circumference 54–58 cm) and L (56–60 cm), both with a consistent height of 19.8 cm — the deliberately low profile sits comfortably under hearing protection earmuffs without causing pressure points or misalignment.
The fabric is 100% polyester fleece weighing 44 grams: warm enough for winter outdoor sessions, yet light and breathable enough to avoid overheating during sustained movement. Fleece won't block wind the way a membrane fabric does, but it manages moisture far better than wool — making it a more practical choice for anyone working at variable pace, standing still at the firing point then moving between positions. Those who find a waterproof beanie traps heat when they don't need it will appreciate this trade-off.
Velcro panels are sewn onto the front and rear for identification patches; a third panel on the top of the beanie is dedicated to IFF patches, useful in activities where quick recognition matters. The rear also features a small emergency pocket for storing compact items. A paracord loop allows the beanie to be clipped to a pack or kit when not being worn.
