The Greyman DuraCanvas is a jacket with an urban silhouette designed for those who need to carry equipment while keeping a low profile. The main fabric is a 65% polyester, 33% cotton and 2% elastane blend with a DuraCanvas finish, paired with VersaStretch Lite panels (93% nylon, 7% elastane) under the arms to allow freedom of movement through the torso without restriction. At 800 g, this is a three-season jacket suited to cool temperatures, not an insulating layer for winter.

DuraCanvas is a technical canvas treated for abrasion resistance and sustained daily use, but it is neither waterproof nor membrane-laminated: the tight weave handles wind and light rain well, while sustained rainfall calls for a dedicated waterproof shell over the top. This is the trade-off that defines the jacket: the natural-technical fabric construction offers a convincing civilian appearance and far better breathability than a synthetic shell, but it does not replace a dedicated rain jacket.

The raised collar and quick-release zip on the front address operational requirements: the collar closes at the chin without a stiff lapel that would give away the jacket's tactical nature, while the quick-release zip gives immediate access to the inner pockets or to a weapon carried on the belt. Waist and cuffs are adjustable with straps and press studs, allowing the jacket to be drawn in close to the body without breaking the layering stack. The three internal pockets provide space for documents, rigid inserts or accessories that need to stay out of sight, while the two external zip pockets with integrated organiser handle frequently accessed kit.

Key points

  • The polyester-cotton-elastane DuraCanvas fabric resists daily abrasion while maintaining a civilian appearance that does not signal its tactical purpose.
  • VersaStretch Lite panels under the arms eliminate torso tension during broad movements such as a two-handed extension or carrying a heavy pack.
  • The quick-release front zip gives immediate one-step access without having to work multiple closures.
  • Three internal pockets allow documents, valuables and operational accessories to be kept separate and out of sight.
  • Adjustable waist and cuffs with press studs let you adapt the fit to winter layering or summer use without extra layers.
  • This is not a waterproof garment: the tight DuraCanvas weave handles wind and light rain, but sustained precipitation requires a dedicated outer shell.
