ProTech Guns Smart Gas is a propellant gas in a 750 ml canister formulated for gas-powered airsoft guns. The canister measures 340 mm in length and has a metal body. It is compatible with airsoft guns that use standard green gas and stands out for its significantly higher silicone oil content blended directly into the formula.

The Smart Gas formula contains a greater amount of silicone oil than conventional green gas. This means every fill lubricates and protects the seals, valve, and internal magazine mechanisms without requiring a separate oiling step. Using oil-free gas and skipping regular maintenance accelerates wear on rubber seals; with Smart Gas, lubrication happens automatically with every use. The trade-off is that excess silicone oil can build up on the hop-up bucking over time, requiring occasional cleaning to maintain hop-up consistency.

The canister pressure is calibrated to be compatible with standard airsoft guns without risking damage to seals or valves sized for green gas. The filling nozzle is made of plastic: unlike metal fittings, it will not damage the magazine fill valve if the angle is slightly off during filling. The manufacturer states it is suitable for use from 5 °C, a temperature at which many standard green gases lose pressure and make the airsoft gun unreliable. The canister is not refillable.
