The HERA ARMS CQR front grip is designed for AR15, M4 and compatible platforms fitted with a Picatinny rail (MIL-STD 1913). Its compact form and low vertical profile make it suitable for both dynamic shooting and tactical use in confined spaces, where a traditional grip would get in the way.
The reinforced polymer body weighs 170 g and absorbs recoil without any noticeable flex. The textured surface maintains grip with tactical gloves or wet hands — a relevant feature for those operating in variable weather conditions or during extended sessions where perspiration affects control. The vertical grip involves a trade-off worth considering: it provides a consistent, repeatable hold shot after shot, but requires a more angled wrist position compared to an angled grip — shooters who prefer a more natural arm position may find it takes a few sessions to get used to.
The ambidextrous QD attachment points integrated into the body allow a sling to be connected directly to the grip, eliminating the need for a separate QD ring on the handguard. This simplifies the setup and reduces the number of additional components on the rail, which is useful on builds already crowded with accessories.
Key points
- Compatible with any medium or full-length MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail: no additional adapter required.
- Integrated ambidextrous QD points allow sling management without adding hardware to the handguard.
- At 170 g, overall rifle balance is kept low without compromising structural rigidity.
- The textured surface maintains grip with gloves or in high-humidity conditions.
- The compact profile suits CQB configurations where bulky grips limit manoeuvrability.
