The FMA WeaponLink is a quick-release system that connects a sling to a MOLLE platform, designed for operators and shooters who need to detach their equipment one-handed without losing time or requiring both hands free. The system consists of two components: a pin that mounts to a standard 20 mm Picatinny rail and a receiver that attaches to the belt.
The operating principle is straightforward: insert the pin into the receiver and push down until it clicks. Release is a single-motion gesture, with no need to look at the connection point. This type of mechanical retention is more reliable than a simple elastic or velcro, but requires the receiver to be positioned carefully on the belt to ensure repeatable operation under stress.
The CNC-machined aluminium construction keeps the profile low, reducing unintentional snagging on vegetation, gear or angled surfaces. The compact profile is a deliberate trade-off: it offers less purchase than a bulkier connector, but reduces the risk of accidental catches during movement. The Desert variant blends into sand or coyote-toned setups without creating visual contrast.
