FabDefense SLA Sling Attachment for RIS Rail — Black

The FabDefense SLA is a closed-loop sling attachment machined from 6061 aluminium via CNC, designed to mount on any Picatinny or Type II Class 3 RIS rail. It accepts slings up to 25 mm wide, covering virtually every common tactical sling standard.

The choice of CNC-milled 6061 aluminium is not cosmetic: it ensures a rigid profile and consistent dimensions that prevent rail play even after repeated sling-tension cycles. A polymer or pressed-sheet attachment tends to give way at the locking point under dynamic load; the SLA's monolithic metal construction eliminates that variable, keeping the sling firmly connected to the weapon regardless of pull angle.

The limitation is that of any fixed loop: the position on the rail can be adjusted by sliding the attachment, but the sling anchor point is fixed relative to the attachment itself. Those wanting free 360° rotation will prefer a swivel; those who want mechanical simplicity with no ball bearings to clean will find the loop solution a long-term reliability advantage.
