ESP TKO-01 Soft Training Knife — Orange

The ESP TKO-01 is an ABS polymer training knife designed for close-quarters combat simulation, crisis scenarios and airsoft sessions with knife rules. At 290 mm in length and weighing 102 g, it replicates the proportions of a standard tactical dagger, offering a grip and balance comparable to the real thing – with no blade or sharp point.

The Soft version, made from reduced-hardness polymer, partially absorbs accidental contact compared to the rigid versions, but does not eliminate the risk of bruising: strikes delivered with excessive force remain dangerous. ESP explicitly recommends limiting use to placing the knife against the target – without simulating slashes or thrusts – both for the safety of practitioners and because, in most airsoft rule sets, simple contact is sufficient for elimination. The orange colour is a deliberate functional choice: it immediately identifies the tool as a training implement, reducing confusion on the field and during transport.

The ABS body withstands intensive use across repeated sessions without deforming or chipping under normal conditions of use. When carrying the knife in public spaces, the same care should be taken as with any object that imitates the shape of a weapon: applicable regulations and the manner of transport remain the responsibility of the user.

Key features

• The 290 mm length and 102 g weight replicate the proportions of a tactical dagger, making knife-handling training directly transferable to the real implement.
• The Soft hardness reduces the impact of accidental contact compared to the rigid versions, but still requires use without excessive force.
• The orange colour makes the knife immediately recognisable as a training tool in any operational or airsoft scenario.
• The ABS polymer construction ensures durability under repeated use with no maintenance required, unlike rubber training tools that degrade through abrasion.
• Suitable for airsoft sessions with knife rules: simple placement against the target is sufficient for elimination under most rule sets.
