The ESP Hardened Baton 18" Easy Lock is a close-range control and defence tool designed for professional operators: law enforcement, private security personnel, and defensive tactics instructors. Closed it measures 190 mm; fully extended it reaches 410 mm, at a weight of 413 g.

The construction uses seamless cold-drawn steel tubes to the ČSN 12 060 specification, with decreasing diameters: 21 mm at the handle, 16 mm at the mid section, and 11 mm at the tip. Rockwell hardness increases progressively along the baton — 47 ± 2 HRC at the handle, 49 ± 2 HRC at the centre, 51 ± 2 HRC at the tip — so the grip end remains relatively tough whilst the striking end is the hardest, concentrating energy precisely where it is needed.

The Easy Lock system deploys with a single wrist flick and holds the sections extended without play, but does not feature automatic push-button collapse: retraction is performed manually against a firm surface. This trade-off suits operators who need to be certain the baton stays open during use, at the cost of a rapid safe-close. The black nickel-zinc finish resists oxidation without requiring ongoing maintenance; the textured «H»-pattern grip reduces rotation in the hand even with a wet palm. The baton conforms to German standards for telescopic batons, verified by MPA Hannover.
