Gas blowback
WE replicas are built around gas blowback operation: the slide cycles back with each shot, delivering a recoil and operating cycle close to those of the real firearm. Loading, safety release and field stripping replicate the manual of arms of the original weapon, which is why this system is chosen for training and realistic shooting.
Construction is predominantly metal, with internal parts that are replaceable and upgradeable.
The limitation to be aware of
Gas loses pressure in cold conditions: below ten degrees the velocity drops and the slide may fail to complete its cycle. Shooters who operate in winter or outdoors in cold weather should consider CO₂ magazines, which maintain consistent pressure, bearing in mind that they place greater stress on seals.
Always verify magazine compatibility with the exact model: between different generations of the same replica, the magazine well dimensions may vary.
