Lightstick Miltec — Green

The Miltec chemical lightstick is a single-use emergency light source, 15 cm long and 1 cm in diameter, suitable for operators, hunters and anyone working or moving in low-visibility conditions. It requires no battery, produces no heat and generates no sparks — making it usable in environments where torches pose safety concerns or where discreet signalling is needed.

Activation is by bending and shaking: snapping the internal glass vial triggers the chemical reaction that produces light for between 8 and 12 hours, depending on ambient temperature. The colder it is, the slower the reaction and the longer the duration, at the expense of brightness; conversely, heat accelerates the reaction, increasing brilliance but reducing runtime. This is the inherent trade-off of any chemical lightstick: those who need maximum visibility in a short time benefit in warm nights, while those who need to maintain signalling throughout the night will prefer lower temperatures.

The waterproof construction allows use in heavy rain or after accidental submersion. The included lanyard lets you hang the lightstick from your kit, a tent or inside a shelter to illuminate an area without having to hold it.
