MFH

The MFH Folding Plastic Crate is a rigid folding box made from polypropylene with a capacity of 60 litres, designed for the transport, storage and organisation of tactical equipment, field kit and professional gear. With open dimensions of 60x41x39 cm and an empty weight of 3.7 kg, it delivers standard military-crate volume in a format that collapses to just 10.5 cm in height when folded.

The main advantage over a conventional hard-shell crate lies in managing empty space: when not loaded, it folds flat and occupies a fraction of the space it would take up open. For anyone working with vehicles, operational vans or storage areas where every centimetre counts, the difference between 39 cm and 10.5 cm of stacked height means more crates in the same bay or room freed up for other equipment. A conventional rigid crate of the same volume simply does not offer this option.

The trade-off to bear in mind concerns the structure: folding polypropylene is robust and resistant to everyday impacts, but by its nature it does not match the torsional rigidity of a fixed-wall crate made from high-density polyethylene. For heavy loads or environments with intense mechanical stress, this is worth keeping in mind. For transport, seasonal storage of field kit, organisation at fixed stations or movement on vehicles, the ratio of usable volume to folded footprint is hard to beat at this size.

Key features

  • The 60-litre capacity allows complete loadouts for multiple operators or extended shooting sessions to be stored in a single container.
  • Folded down to 10.5 cm in height, it takes up less than a quarter of the space it requires open: more crates stackable in the same compartment.
  • The polypropylene construction handles practical field loads without absorbing moisture or rusting, making it suitable for storage in variable environments.
  • The 60x41 cm base footprint fits standard military and professional shelving and load-platform dimensions.
