Fenix AER-06S Remote Switch for GL19R

The AER-06S is the tactical remote switch designed exclusively for the Fenix GL19R weapon light. The cable allows you to control the light without taking your hand off the grip, enabling instant activation with a momentary press or sustained pressure to trigger the strobe.

The button is angled at 45° relative to the cable axis, a geometry that allows it to be positioned across different grip configurations without straining the wrist. The mounting base is compatible with the MIL-STD-1913 (Picatinny) rail: the system provides a solid lock even under repeated recoil. For those mounting the GL19R on an M-Lok platform, the kit includes a dedicated adapter, removing the need for third-party solutions.

Choosing a remote switch over the light's integrated button involves a real trade-off: you gain in activation speed and support-hand control, but you add a cable and a mounting element to manage on the weapon. For roles where the light stays fixed on the rail and the weapon is used actively, the operational advantage outweighs the added complexity. For occasional use or on non-dedicated weapons, the GL19R's integrated button remains adequate.
