The Range Hoodie is a hooded sweatshirt designed for active work at the range during cold months or in light rain. The main fabric in 100% TopCool polyester wicks moisture away from the body, while the side and underarm panels in a 93% nylon and 7% elastane blend add directional stretch exactly where the shooting movement — particularly raising the arm and rotating the torso — puts the most stress on the fabric.

The extended cut at the front and back allows the hoodie to be tucked into trousers without riding out during movement, a detail well understood by anyone working with a plate carrier or duty belt. The hood is anatomically shaped to avoid interfering with peripheral vision and to stay in place when wearing ear defenders or tactical hearing protection. The two small zip pockets on the shoulders keep small accessories within reach without having to open the front zip kangaroo pocket.

The trade-off to bear in mind: TopCool polyester is lightweight and dries quickly, but it offers no waterproofing — this is a technical midlayer for cool, dry conditions, not a rain garment. In heavy rain it needs to be paired with an outer shell. On demanding windy or wet days, its best role is as a second layer over LVL 1 thermal base, leaving rain protection to an outer shell. The mesh sewn under the arms promotes ventilation during dynamic sessions, balancing heat retention with the heat generated by physical activity.
