Helikon-Tex MCDU DYNyCo Trousers

The Helikon-Tex MCDU trousers are a tactical cargo-cut garment designed for operators, dynamic shooters, and anyone working or moving in demanding environments. The main fabric is DYNyCo, a nylon-cotton blend that combines the durability of synthetic fibre with the breathability of cotton, without the weaknesses of either material on its own.

Where the main fabric needs to give way to freedom of movement, Versastretch® panels take over: positioned at the waist, crotch, and rear knees, they allow crouching, climbing onto elevated surfaces, or crawling without the fabric restricting movement or retaining sweat. The knee area itself is externally reinforced with Cordura 500D and includes a dedicated internal pocket for knee pad inserts, so those who want to use insertable knee pads can add or remove them depending on the situation — a detail that turns the same trousers from a field garment into a shooting-range garment. The seat is reinforced with the same material, where wear from contact with hard surfaces is most frequent.

The closure system combines a classic metal zip and a dry zip, and the belt loops are sized for belts up to 40 mm wide. The pocket layout is generous: reinforced-edge side pockets, front and rear cargo pockets accessed via flap zips, calf pockets, open rear pockets, and internal pockets sized for pistol magazines. Mesh panels between the pockets improve airflow in areas prone to heat build-up. It should be noted that the abundance of pockets — designed for those who need to carry a lot — adds visual bulk and weight compared to a minimal work trouser: anyone looking for a low-profile cut for civilian use may find it excessive.
