Helikon-Tex MBDU NyCo Ripstop PenCott WildWood Trousers

The Helikon-Tex MBDU trousers are field trousers in NyCo Ripstop with PenCott WildWood camouflage, designed for operators, hunters and shooters working in woodland or mixed-vegetation environments. The belt loops accept belts up to 45 mm wide, compatible with holsters, magazine pouches and full belt kits.

NyCo Ripstop combines nylon and cotton fibres in a reinforced grid weave: the synthetic component adds abrasion and tear resistance, while the cotton keeps the fabric breathable during extended movement. It is not a waterproof or DWR-treated fabric: it manages moisture well and dries quickly, but it is not designed as a rain barrier. The internal VersaStretch gussets positioned at the rear and crotch give with movement without resistance, allowing low stances, kneeling and climbing without the fabric pulling at the back.

The knees are shaped and reinforced to accept optional padding inserts: the curved cut follows the natural position of the joint when kneeling, avoiding the bunching that a flat-cut panel produces in front of the knee and that reduces stability when shooting from the ground. The thigh cargo pockets close with Canadian-style snap buttons, quieter than hook-and-loop in situations where noise discipline matters; the lower leg pockets use hook-and-loop instead, a choice that favours one-handed access when retrieving dressings or small accessories. The standard hip pockets and rear pockets have reinforced edges to withstand continuous use with knife-clip attachments.
