The reinforced footbox allows boots to be worn inside the bag, a practical solution for operational bivouacs where leaving footwear outside is not an option. A clip system at the foot end lets you shorten the bag's length: this reduces heat loss for those who sleep curled up and allows the bag to be fitted to shorter users without compromising insulation. The hood cinches down with an elastic drawcord so you can seal it around your head without tying knots in the dark.
