Snugpak Sleeper Lite Sleeping Bag — Olive

The Sleeper Lite is a mummy-cut sleeping bag designed by Snugpak for outings in moderately cold to cold conditions: it has a rated comfort temperature of -5 °C and an extreme temperature of -10 °C, at a weight of 1800 g that makes it practical to carry on foot even over long distances.

The mummy cut wraps around the shoulders and head, reducing the internal air volume the body needs to warm: in practice, comfort temperature is reached faster than with a rectangular bag of equivalent weight. The hood adjusts via an elastic drawcord, so head coverage can be tightened or loosened without getting out of the bag. The side zip runs along the left side: anyone who has a preference should check this before purchasing, as the opening is not reversible.

Both the insulation and the shell are 100% polyester: a choice that prioritises moisture resistance and ease of washing over natural fibres. Polyester retains a portion of its insulating performance when slightly damp, but it does not match a premium synthetic fibre in terms of warmth-to-weight ratio: the Sleeper Lite offers a practical balance of cost, durability and thermal performance for seasonal, non-alpine use. The included compression sack reduces packed volume for carrying in a rucksack.
