SNUGPAK

The Sleeper Extreme is a three-season sleeping bag with Softie synthetic fill, designed for those who work or operate outdoors in harsh weather conditions. The declared comfort temperature is -7 °C, with a lower limit of -12 °C, making it suitable for winter mountain bivouacs, extended hunting trips and professional use in demanding environments.

At 2100 g and a compact packed size, it can be carried in a rucksack without sacrificing insulation: this is the typical trade-off of medium-density synthetic fills, which give up some volume compared to down but retain their insulating properties when wet — a variable that in the field makes the difference between a manageable night and a dangerous one.

The hood is adjustable via an elasticated drawcord, allowing the opening to be closed around the face as temperatures drop. The left-hand side zip lets you partially open the bag for ventilation without having to get out entirely. Worth noting: the single-sided zip prevents linking with a second bag in a double configuration.

Key points

  • Comfort temperature -7 °C and lower limit -12 °C: covers cold-weather use without needing an additional bag for winter mountain bivouacs.
  • Softie synthetic fill: retains insulation when wet, unlike down which loses effectiveness once damp.
  • Weight 2100 g with stuff sack included: the reduced packed volume leaves room in the rucksack for operational kit.
  • Hood with adjustable drawcord: reduces heat loss from the head on the coldest nights.
  • Left-hand side zip: allows quick ventilation without leaving the bag.
