The Radiant 400 is a 400-lumen LED lantern built for reliable lighting away from home: at a campsite, during a night operation, or in an emergency. The integrated carabiner handle lets you clip it to a pack, a cord, or a branch without any additional hardware.

Three brightness levels — high, medium, and low — cover opposite ends of the spectrum: the high mode at 400 lumens lights up a wide area when maximum visibility is needed, while the low mode extends battery life to nearly 800 hours, enough for weeks of continuous field use. Cycling between modes is done by successive presses of the switch; after 5 seconds from the last press, a single click turns the lantern off, preventing accidental activation in a pocket or pack.

Impact resistance is rated for drops up to 1 metre, and the construction handles rough weather. The included bag is worth noting for its dual role: used as a case it protects the lantern during transport, but slipped over the body of the lantern it acts as a diffuser that softens and spreads the beam in all directions, turning the directional light into an ambient source. Anyone who wants both functions has to choose each time, but swapping takes no tools and about a second.
