3D Leaf Strip Kicking Mustang Adaptive Leafstrip — Oakland

The Kicking Mustang Adaptive Leafstrip are three-dimensional leaf strips made from synthetic fabric with an adaptive finish, designed to integrate or complete a ghillie suit, camouflage clothing or headwear in deciduous vegetation environments. Each strip measures 130–140 cm in length and the pack contains four, sufficient to reinforce the most exposed areas — shoulders, hood, back — or to customise existing kit.

The three-dimensional leaf shape breaks up the silhouette profile across multiple planes, reducing the mass effect that flat, two-dimensional camouflage cannot eliminate. The advantage is most apparent at medium distances, where the eye tends to read outlines before colours: the physical depth of the leaves introduces shadows and tonal variations that shift with the light and the angle of observation, without requiring any active effort from the wearer.

The trade-off worth knowing concerns seasonal versatility: the Oakland colour replicates broadleaf foliage in autumnal transition, with tones that work well in mixed woodland and dry undergrowth. In environments dominated by summer greens or in arid and sandy terrain it will blend less effectively. Those operating across varying seasonal conditions should consider whether to pair these strips with complementary colour panels or swap them for a different colour variant depending on the time of year.

Key features

• Four strips of 130–140 cm to update or complete existing camouflage kit without replacing it entirely.
• The three-dimensional leaf structure breaks the silhouette across multiple planes, making the profile harder to read even when the operator is moving.
• The adaptive finish of the synthetic fabric reduces surface reflections that could betray position in raking light conditions.
• Oakland colouring calibrated for broadleaf woodland and undergrowth in autumn or transitional phases — environments common in hunting and precision shooting.
• Strip format: easily attached, distributed and redistributed on existing retention points or stitching, with no tools required.
