SATAC Tactical Chest Rig — Ranger Green

The SATAC Tactical is a lightweight chest rig designed for those who need to carry the bare essentials without giving up modularity. With an empty weight of 425 g, it is aimed at operators, dynamic shooters and hunters who prioritise mobility and want a system that can be worn over or under other kit without adding unnecessary bulk.

The construction uses CORUND™ 500D fabric, a technical material that balances abrasion resistance with weight control: tougher than lightweight nylon, yet well short of the weight of Cordura 1000D. Continuous size adjustment means the same chest rig can accommodate different body types or changes in layering beneath a jacket. It should be noted clearly that the MOLLE system is present on the shoulder straps only: the front panel is not set up for additional MOLLE pouches, which keeps the profile clean but limits customisation compared to chest rigs with a full front panel. Anyone seeking maximum modularity should weigh this up as a key selection criterion.

There is no provision for ballistic inserts or a quick-release system: the Tactical is an everyday working chest rig, not a plate carrier. The absence of these features contributes directly to the low weight and straightforward handling, making it well suited to extended outings where reducing torso load makes a real difference.

Key features

• An empty weight of 425 g reduces fatigue during long outings or fast-moving activities.
• CORUND™ 500D fabric offers greater abrasion resistance than lightweight nylons whilst maintaining a low profile.
• Adjustable sizing accommodates different body types and seasonal layering variations.
• MOLLE compatibility on the shoulder straps allows accessories to be added without loading up the front panel.
• The absence of a quick-release mechanism and ballistic plate pocket simplifies construction and keeps overall weight down: the Tactical is not intended to replace a plate carrier.
