The expandable structure is what sets this pack apart from a standard padded back panel. With the zips closed, volume is minimal and the centre of gravity stays close to the back; opening them gains room for hydration, a spare layer, electronics or a tablet up to roughly 20x30 cm. The interior is fully lined with loop velcro to retain magazine pouches, admin pouches or modular dividers already in the operator's kit. One practical limitation is worth noting: the flat shape works well for insertion, but once expanded the volume pushes outward and increases the dorsal profile — anyone who prioritises mobility in confined spaces will likely keep it compressed.

The attachment system is entirely MOLLE-based and allows two distinct configurations. Mounted on a plate carrier or vest, the pack is carried without its own shoulder straps; detached from the platform, it can be worn independently thanks to integrated shoulder straps, with a chest strap adding lateral stability during running or fast movement. The hydration bladder compartment lets you route the drinking tube without opening the main body, keeping water accessible in both configurations.
