The Steel Mesh is a carbon steel mesh half-mask for airsoft that protects the nose, mouth and cheeks from 6 mm BBs. Designed for CQB and indoor use, where BBs travel at close range and a face hit is a real possibility, it covers the most exposed areas while keeping the upper field of view clear so you can cheek-weld a rifle stock without losing contact with your optic.

The carbon steel mesh is the core feature: stopping a BB at close range is a far more demanding test than it might appear, and plastic or synthetic mesh protection can give way or deform over time. Steel provides consistent structural resistance and, thanks to the shapeable construction, conforms to the contours of the face without losing rigidity where it matters. The ANSI Z80.3 certification against high-velocity particles up to 6 joules is what separates a verified mask from a decorative one: it means the product has been tested at a threshold well above the FPS limits allowed at most airsoft fields.

The cheeks are lined with 1000D nylon and internal padding: the hard armour material never sits directly against the skin, making the mask wearable through extended sessions. Compared to a balaclava or a buff, the rigid open structure significantly reduces moisture build-up on the face and fogging of any eye protection worn over it. The trade-off is the one typical of mesh protection: the open construction guarantees breathability and lateral visibility, but does not provide the airtight seal of a full rubber mask — anyone operating in environments with heavy dust or CS gas should factor this in.
