The Vector Optics VAS adapter is a mounting component designed to allow red dot and micro dot sights with a MOJ footprint to be installed on bases and mounts that use the VAS standard, expanding configuration options without having to replace the optic.

Compatibility between different mounting systems is a real issue for anyone who wants to move their optic between platforms or update a build without buying a new sight. This adapter solves the problem by keeping the MOJ footprint of the original optic and translating it to the VAS standard, ensuring a solid, repeatable fit that maintains zero return after every removal.

The construction is designed to introduce no play between the optic and the base: an adapter that adds slop defeats zero return and makes any fine adjustment pointless. The matte black finish reduces glare in bright light conditions, suited to both open-field use and operational environments.

Vector Accessory System: riser adapters and modular plates for red dots.

VAS, Vector Accessory System, is Vector Optics' modular mounting system. The base attaches to a Picatinny rail and the upper interface accepts interchangeable adapters for different red dot footprints — MGT, GIN, RMSc — without having to replace the base when changing optics.

Raised adapters are available at 38, 49 and 57 mm. The taller heights are designed to align the optic with the natural eye position when wearing a helmet with a night vision device or a protective mask: raising the red dot eliminates the need to lower the head down to the stock, a posture that is not always practical when wearing a helmet.
