The Vector Optics SCRA-59 Short Picatinny riser is a compact CNC-machined aluminium adapter designed to raise optics, red dots or lights already mounted on a Picatinny rail, adding 21 mm of height to the installed accessory. It is the straightforward solution for shooters who need to align the optical axis to a higher sight line, or to achieve co-witness between a secondary red dot and a primary optic on AR platforms or rifles with raised cheekpieces.
The 21 mm of elevation is calibrated for lower co-witness with most 30 mm and 34 mm tube optics: the sight line remains natural without forcing the shooter to lift their head excessively off the stock, reducing fatigue during extended sessions. The Short version keeps longitudinal footprint on the rail to a minimum, freeing as many slots as possible for other accessories — a direct trade-off compared to full-length versions, which offer greater contact surface but take up more rail.
The matte black anodised aluminium construction provides the recoil resistance needed for use on long guns in centrefire calibres and eliminates reflections in bright light conditions. Hex-head clamping screws ensure a solid lock to the receiver rail without requiring specialist tools.
