The GBB system delivers a realistic operating cycle with every shot: the bolt carrier travels rearward and returns forward, simulating case ejection and producing the characteristic tactile feedback of blowback. This directly affects how the replica handles in dynamic scenarios, imposing the same magazine discipline and reload management as the real weapon. The second generation introduces revised internal components compared to the Gen1, with tighter tolerances on gas-bearing parts.

The construction uses materials analogous to the original: the lightweight alloy and technical polymer body retains the low weight that sets the MP7A1 apart in its class, while the telescoping stock and folding shoulder stock replicate the adjustment points of the real firearm. The hop-up is adjustable to compensate for BB trajectory drop over typical milsim engagement distances.
