Aim-O Tri-Side Rail Rings 25.4/30 mm — Black

A pair of anodised aluminium scope rings with an integrated Picatinny rail, compatible with 25.4 mm tubes and, via the included adapter insert, 30 mm tubes as well. One of the two rings features three 20 mm rails on its top and side faces, designed for shooters who want to expand their setup without giving up space on the weapon's main rail.

The main advantage of this system is modularity in a compact footprint: being able to mount a laser or a compact torch directly on the front ring keeps the weapon's Picatinny rail free for other accessories, and also solves the problem on platforms with short rail sections. The dual 25.4/30 mm compatibility means the rings work with the vast majority of scopes and closed red dots on the market, removing the need to buy dedicated pairs for each optic.

The trade-off is worth considering: the side rails concentrate weight and mass on just one of the two rings, creating an asymmetric load distribution compared to the smooth rear ring. On calibres with significant recoil it is worth checking that the clamping points hold the optic in alignment over time. For use on sporting carbines, semi-automatic rifles and airsoft replicas the solution is well suited.
