Chest Rig Wosport MK4 — Multicam

The Wosport MK4 is a modular chest rig designed for those who need to carry magazines and essential gear without the weight and bulk of a full plate carrier. The base accepts up to six 5.56 magazines or four 7.62 magazines, or any combination of rifle and pistol magazines, held in place by rubber inserts that require no bungee cords or kydex.

The rubber inserts are what set this chest rig apart from many comparable options: they almost entirely eliminate noise during magazine extraction and reinsertion, a real advantage in situations where staying quiet matters. The trade-off compared to a rigid kydex insert is that retention relies on how well the material conforms to the specific magazine: it works well with standard 5.56 and 7.62 profiles, but should be tested with unusually shaped magazines before operational use.

The back of the base features a large velcro panel that allows direct integration with abdominal pouches, side expansion wings, and ballistic vests. The rear strap keeps the rig close to the body and can also serve as a tourniquet holder on the lower section of the abdominal pouch. The soft velcro closures on the pouches allow the internal configuration to be adjusted on the fly without any tools.
