The Helikon-Tex Snowfall Long Gaiters are tall gaiters built for deep snow, muddy terrain and wet vegetation. They protect the lower leg and boot collar, keeping water, mud and debris out during outdoor and operational use. The construction pairs abrasion-resistant Cordura with rear VersaStretch panels that accommodate movement without stiffening your stride.

The main Cordura body provides toughness and abrasion resistance on the sides that take the most punishment from branches and rough ground, but on its own it would be rigid and restrictive. The rear VersaStretch panels solve that trade-off: they give elastically as you walk and return to shape without sagging over time or bunching up against the boot. Anyone who wears these on long routes will notice the difference compared to a fully rigid gaiter: less calf fatigue and a more natural stride.

The wide-opening side Velcro closure lets you put the gaiters on and take them off even with gloves on, without fumbling with buttons or zippers. The upper edge is cinched by an elastic drawcord that pulls tight around the leg and blocks snow ingress even during falls. The instep strap that passes under the boot is made from Hypalone, a material that is largely unaffected by friction wear and temperature swings; the length is adjustable to fit different sole thicknesses.
