Snugpak Sleeper Expedition Sleeping Bag — OD

The Sleeper Expedition is a mummy-style sleeping bag designed for demanding winter conditions, with a comfort temperature of -12 °C and an extreme temperature of -17 °C. It is aimed at hunters, professional operators and outdoor enthusiasts who work in cold environments and need reliable rest away from heated shelter.

The outer shell in 190T AquaLight polyester balances low weight with resistance to surface moisture, while the SuperSoft inner lining reduces friction against clothing and contributes to the perceived thermal sensation. The IsoFibre hollow-fibre insulation retains warm air even after the bag has been compressed and then deployed — a useful characteristic when bivouac setup time is limited.

The two-way zip runs along the left side and incorporates an internal thermal baffle and a snag-free tape: it can be partially opened from the foot end to ventilate the feet without losing heat at the shoulder. The hood is drawcord-adjustable and conforms to the head profile to reduce heat loss in the most critical zone. External loops at the foot end allow the bag to be hung out to dry after use. The weight of 2600 g and the included compression sack allow the volume to be reduced for pack carrying: the trade-off compared to natural-down solutions is greater resilience to moisture and simpler care, at the cost of a slightly larger compressed volume for the same thermal rating.
