Selenite™ polycarbonate meets the MIL-PRF-32432(GL) ballistic standard, which sets resistance requirements for high-velocity impacts — a relevant threshold in airsoft too, where eye protection against BBs is a non-negotiable primary requirement. The neutral grey tint absorbs colours evenly, preserving natural colour perception without shifting contrasts — useful when you need to read terrain quickly or identify targets in full sunlight. The scratch-resistant coating extends the optical life of the lens, which in heavy use is subject to micro-abrasions from branches, loose material and frequent handling.

The reduced transmission of this tint makes it well suited to full sun and high-reflectivity environments such as light-coloured surfaces or water. In overcast or low-light conditions, switching to a higher-transmission lens is the better call. This is the inherent trade-off of a single fixed tint: peak performance within a defined light range, nothing outside it — the Saber Advanced's interchangeable lens system exists precisely to manage that variable.
