The Frenzy-X MOS is a compact red dot from Vector Optics designed specifically for semi-automatic pistols with MOS mounting footprints. Its 7 mm low-profile body clears the host pistol's iron sights, keeping them fully usable with the optic mounted. The 22x26 mm optical window provides a wide field of view for fast target acquisition under stress or in low light, making it a practical choice for dynamic shooting, personal defence and professional use.
The 6061-T6 aluminium alloy body is machined from a single block, giving it recoil resistance certified on demanding calibres including 9 mm, .45 ACP, 12 GA and .338 Lapua Magnum. This is a design specification, not a generic claim, and it is what separates an optic built for real firearms from one that has been adapted after the fact. Despite its solid construction, the optic weighs just 30 grams without a mounting base, so it does not shift the pistol's balance or cause fatigue during extended shooting sessions.
The illumination system offers 8 daytime brightness levels and 2 night-vision-compatible levels, with a rated battery life of up to 50,000 hours at the lowest visible setting — in practical terms, a single CR2032 cell can last years of normal use. An integrated motion sensor triggers automatic shut-off after 2 minutes of inactivity, eliminating the risk of a dead battery through forgetfulness. Windage and elevation adjustment range is 45 MOA per axis, enough to compensate for imperfectly centred mounts and to adapt to different engagement distances. Water resistance is rated IPX6.
