Aim-O RD-1 / RD-2 45° Offset Mount — TAN

The Aim-O RD-1 / RD-2 45° offset mount is a side mount designed to attach a secondary red dot to a 20 mm Picatinny rail, positioning it off-axis from the primary optic. It lets the shooter transition instantly from a magnified scope or fixed-power optic to an open field of view, without removing anything or losing time.

The underlying concept is that of a rapid backup: by rotating the rifle 45° on its axis, the collimator mounted on this bracket comes into the line of sight, ready to use. This makes it possible to pair, for example, a variable magnification scope with a compact red dot, covering both distance engagements and close-quarters with a natural wrist movement. The trade-off to consider is that the 45° rotation requires a different grip from standard shooting: at short distances the speed gain is real, but on targets beyond 50 metres the canted position reduces stability compared to a conventional cheek weld.

Compatibility with the standard 20 mm Picatinny rail ensures installation on virtually any AR platform, M-LOK with an adapter, pump-action shotgun or carbine fitted with a top rail. The TAN finish blends visually with sand or multicam configurations without needing tape or additional paint.
