Vector Optics VWSD-30 Shield 30 mm Lens Cover — Clear

The Vector Optics VWSD-30 protective discs are clear acrylic wafers with a 30 mm diameter, designed to shield rifle scope eyepieces from debris, splatter and abrasion during field use. Each pack contains 3 pieces, so replacements are on hand without having to interrupt a shooting session.

The acrylic material maintains enough light transmission that the image is not visibly affected: the reticle remains readable and clarity is not compromised during observation. There is a trade-off worth keeping in mind: the disc adds a layer between the eye and the eyepiece, and in low-light conditions or at high magnification the difference compared to an unprotected eyepiece may be noticeable. Under typical operating conditions — daylight, mid-range distances, heavy recoil, or environments with dust and vegetation — the protection gained clearly outweighs the marginal optical loss.

Each disc comes with a 3M ring adhesive already applied to its edge: the bond holds firmly under recoil and removal leaves no residue on the eyepiece. Having three discs in the pack means a scratched or worn one can be swapped out immediately without waiting for a resupply.
