The Perun 2 is a rechargeable headlamp from OLIGHT with a peak output of 2500 lumens and a beam reach of up to 166 metres. The aluminium body detaches from the headband so it can be held in the hand or mounted on metal surfaces via the integrated magnetic base, making it a dual-purpose tool suited to hunting, hiking, and professional use in demanding conditions.

The 4000 mAh 21700 rechargeable battery charges via MCC3 magnetic cable with no exposed connectors. The benefit goes beyond convenience: removing a physically vulnerable USB port improves the watertight seal, backed by IPX8 certification for continuous submersion. In Turbo mode the output steps down automatically from 2500 to 800 and then to 250 lumens after the first minute to manage heat; a contactless proximity sensor further reduces the output when the head approaches a surface, preventing blowback glare and unintended overheating.

Five brightness levels cover very different scenarios: Turbo at 2500 lumens runs for 175 minutes total; High at 500 lumens reaches 270 minutes; Medium at 120 lumens lasts 18 hours; Low at 30 lumens covers 66 hours; Moonlight at 5 lumens extends to 12.5 days. An SOS mode is also available for emergency signalling. The total weight of 161 grams balances runtime against portability: the 21700 format delivers more capacity than standard AA cells, at the cost of a few extra grams compared to ultralight hiking headlamps.
