The open top with elastic side bands is the standard choice for dynamic airsoft: draws are immediate, with no buttons or flaps to deal with, and an empty magazine can be re-stowed one-handed. The trade-off is the same as any open-top pouch — retention depends on elastic tension and magazine geometry rather than a mechanical lock — so on rough ground or in highly dynamic positions it is worth checking that your magazine is held securely. An internal plastic insert keeps the pouch open when empty, removing the need to force the mouth open during a reload under pressure.

The interchangeable base insert system is what sets this version apart: the tall insert lets you carry shorter magazines — such as 20-round VN or short PMAG — raising them high enough for a reliable grip. The low insert works with standard-length magazines. Both are secured with a screw to prevent loss during use.
