The Hot Weather Boonie Hat is a tactical hat in ripstop fabric and mesh, designed by NOVRITSCH for airsoft use in hot summer conditions. Size S/M fits head circumferences up to 58 cm, L/XL up to 61 cm. The full mesh lining sets this boonie apart from classic military models, making it suited to extended sessions in direct sun where overheating is the primary concern.

The ripstop construction offers greater tear resistance than plain-weave cotton of the same weight, while keeping the hat light and packable. The mesh lining provides no insulation: air circulates directly against the head, lowering perceived temperature compared to a solid-fabric boonie. The trade-off is that this construction offers less wind protection and no water-repellent barrier — in rain or cold wind, a traditional treated-cotton boonie holds up better.

The brim incorporates a lateral channel for the tube of an active-ventilation anti-fog system for eyewear. On the rear there is a hook-and-loop panel and a MOLLE strip, allowing a battery pouch or action-cam power bank to be secured without improvised solutions. This setup adds weight and bulk only when an accessory is actually attached, leaving the hat light when nothing is fitted.
