Retention relies on an adjustable bungee cord that cinches around the magazine body: tension can be tuned to suit standard 30-round magazines or variants of different capacity. This retention system allows fast draws and equally fast reloads, since the magazine seats back without releasing any latch. The trade-off is the one inherent to any open-top design: speed gained at the cost of reduced security during a fall or sudden movement, compared to a snap-retention or covered pouch.
